Scholar of the Month Recipients!

The Scholar of the Month is an award given to an FCS student that best demonstrates scholarship, character, and effort.

3rd Grade Trip To Howe Caves 2025

Students visited an underground cave, learned about formations and history of the cave. They also were able to pan for fossils and gems using a sluice with a wooden screen. The students studied their finds using rock/fossil identification cards.

Dog Man Movie Field Trip 2025

Students in 2nd-8th grade had a blast doing an author study on Dav Pilkey, the creator of Dog Man. After reading the book, they had fun learning how to draw some of his characters. The best part was going on a field trip to see Dog Man on the big screen! Thanks to your generous grant, every student got to enjoy popcorn and a drink during the movie.

The field trip was a huge success, and all the students had an amazing time! Getting to enjoy their own popcorn and drink made the experience so much better! For many students this was their first time going to the movies or getting popcorn during a movie! The students are asking when we can do it again 🙂
